The Story of 2026

Seventeen summers strong

Some towns have a parade. Shasta Lake has a war. Every August for seventeen years, Margaret Polf Park turns into the wettest battlefield in the north state — and this year the community carried it louder than ever.

Shasta Lake showed up.

Neighbors, sponsors, families, and total strangers stocked the war chest. The press called it "the world's most epic water balloon fight." By noon on battle day the sky went wet, and it stayed wet until the field ran dry of ammo.

Same war. Bigger heart. See you next August.

Little Tiny Warriors

A separate, gentler battleground — built for the smallest warriors. And for kids who need a quieter fight, away from the crowd and the noise. Sensory-friendly and parent-approved, every bit as soaked. Everyone gets a war they can win here. Little arms today — cannon arms in a few summers.

And then we cleaned it up

The battle fades out under a lone helicopter. When the ammo runs dry: one long wet mat and a quiet field. The switch flips — players become the cleanup crew. Picked clean by hand, one scrap of balloon at a time.
