Some towns have a parade. Shasta Lake has a war. Every August for seventeen years, Margaret Polf Park turns into the wettest battlefield in the north state — and this year the community carried it louder than ever.
Shasta Lake showed up.
Neighbors, sponsors, families, and total strangers stocked the war chest. The press called it "the world's most epic water balloon fight." By noon on battle day the sky went wet, and it stayed wet until the field ran dry of ammo.
Same war. Bigger heart. See you next August.
Hoses up, mats soaked, nowhere dry to stand — and nobody wanted to be.
Eight booths strong — dirty sodas, raw honey, smoked brisket, shave ice, face paint, and one first-ever lemonade stand.
Set up at Harrismas, get found all year. Every booth from the 2026 row, on the record — this is what twenty bucks buys.
Hand-pressed to order, one cup at a time — classic $7, flavored $8, choose up to two flavors. Harrismas 2026 was this stand's first event ever. Watch this space — that's how every launchpad story starts.
Dirty sodas, $6 — with a custom four-flavor merge board (Island Glow, Cherry Bomb, Cookie Cloud, Fluff Tide…) and $8 to-go kits.
Shave ice for an already-soaked crowd, straight out of Redding.
Raw local honey, bee pollen, and flavored pistachios and almonds — fresh, local, natural.
The classic ice cream van — plus strawberry, cherry, and mangonada raspados. Redding, CA.
Smoked brisket sandwiches, smash burgers, and the Junkyard Dog — "we bring the flavor," and they did.
Water-resistant face paint and body art that survived a water war — plus $5 glitter tattoos that last up to three days.
Loaded baked potatoes and fries off the trailer — est. 2025 and already holding the supply line.
Gutter guards on vendor row — room for everybody. The Redding crew came out for the war.

Harrismas 2026 wouldn't have been possible without the donations of these local businesses. They stocked the chest, the chest bought the ammo, and the ammo flew.

To every booth that set up on that field — thank you for coming out and showing the whole town who you are and what you make. You turned a battlefield into a block party.
